Week 11

1. What did you do this past week?

This past week I worked on phase 3 of the website and my iOS application. My team and I got a lot done for the sorting, filtering, and searching features. We also implemented the mock database and hopefully, we get the extra points from it. After doing all that, I caught up on some sleep and played some video games!

2. What’s in your way?

I think the only thing in my way right now besides time is the motivation or energy to do things. I feel like I do get a bit burned out sometimes from managing two big group projects, but nonetheless, I am determined to completing both of them to the best of my ability!

3. What will you do next week?

Next week, my team and I will start laying out the plans for phase 4 requirements like the visualizations and cleaning up our UI. I will also be focusing on improving my iOS application.

4. If you read it, what did you think of the More getters and setters?

I did not read this week’s paper.

5. What was your experience of SQL? (this question will vary, week to week)

I have not used SQL before this class and played with the main functions to add in our data in phase II, but I learned a lot from Professor Downing’s lecture. It seems like a pretty intuitive language almost like writing sentences to be honest.

6. What made you happy this week?

I’m glad I got to play some Call of Duty with friends, eat some crawfish with my brothers, and sleep in my comfortable bed. I really enjoy the little things in life.

7. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is to give yourself a break. You deserve a break and to enjoy your life. Go eat a cookie, watch an anime or Netflix show, play some Animal Crossing, or whatever you enjoy doing. I know it seems like there may be a lot on your plate, especially of exams and projects, but you should take of yourself. Make sure to eat enough and drink plenty of water!

Thanks for reading and wishing you all the best, friend!
